Our story
We make rugs. We don't flip them.
Our family has been weaving wool rugs in the High Atlas for more than fifty years. In that time, the market around the craft went strange: rugs started leaving Morocco through layers of middlemen, the weavers' names came off the work, and "authentic" turned into a word on a catalogue page.
KeshRug exists to put both ends of that right. The craft, valued the way skilled work deserves — with the women who weave paid properly for it. And you, on the other end, able to order a one-of-one handmade rug with real confidence: made just for you, and — when it's made to order — shown to you finished, in a photo, before it ships.
We can promise that because we're not resellers guessing at what's in the box. We make the rugs — our looms, our wool, weavers we know by name — so we never have to ask you to take our word for anything. We can show you.
Where we come from
Fifty years at the loom.
KeshRug is the newest name on an old family craft — five decades of wool, looms and knots, passed down long before anyone thought to put a rug on the internet. Simo started KeshRug in 2019 not to change any of that, but to change how it reaches you: real sizes, honest photos, a clear price, and a person who answers.
The idea was never complicated. A rug knotted by hand over weeks is valuable work, and it should be sold like it — without the buying of it feeling like a gamble from the other side of the world.
